Restora (“the App”) is a photo restoration application developed by Victor Mita (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.
We are committed to transparency and to protecting your privacy. The App is designed to collect as little data as possible while delivering a high-quality photo restoration experience.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Photos
When you use the App to restore a photo, the image you select or capture is sent to Google's Gemini API (operated by Google Cloud) for AI processing. Photos are transmitted as base64-encoded data over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
We do not store your photos on any server we own or operate. Processing happens entirely through Google's API. Once the restored image is returned, no copy remains on our infrastructure.
Original and restored photos are saved locally on your devicein the App's sandboxed storage. You can delete all locally stored data at any time via Settings > Reset All Data.
1.2 Anonymous Device Identifier
The App generates an anonymous device ID through the Amplitude Analytics SDK. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any personally identifiable information and is used solely for anonymous analytics.
1.3 Anonymous Usage Analytics
We collect anonymous usage events through Amplitude to understand how the App is used and to improve the experience. No photo content, filenames, or personal data is included in analytics events.
1.4 Purchase Information
In-app purchases are processed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We use RevenueCat as our purchase management SDK. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or App Store / Play Store account information.
1.5 Information We Do NOT Collect
- No personal information (name, email, phone number)
- No location data
- No contacts or address book data
- No advertising identifiers
2. How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above to restore your photos using AI, understand how the App is used and improve features, manage in-app purchases and subscriptions, and diagnose technical issues. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating and improving the App.
3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on Google Gemini API (AI processing), Amplitude (anonymous analytics), RevenueCat (purchase management), and Apple/Google (payment processing). We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.
4. Data Retention
Photos are not retained on any server. They exist only on your device in the App's local storage. You can delete them at any time.
5. Data Security
All data transmitted between the App and third-party services is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Photos are stored locally in the App's sandboxed directory, isolated from other apps on your device.
6. Your Rights
You can delete local data at any time via Settings > Reset All Data, revoke camera and photo library permissions through your device settings, or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data. For GDPR and CCPA rights, contact us at support@getrestora.com.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top.
